Well, there's good news and bad news. As always, I like to start with the good news: we have a brand spanking new and awesome kitchen window which I look forward to standing in front of while doing dishes!
Also, got insulation and furring done upstairs.
Dmitry and Alex said the would be doing selective demo and here is the result of that:
Now for the bad news. We hit another speed bump: despite information Dmitry and Alex received early in the process from the city, there is more paperwork and inspections that need to be done. I don't understand it all but I don't think I need to because as Dmitry says, you can't fight the city. And I don't want to! But I think this is ok anyway (to be a little delayed) because our tile isn't showing up until 9/7 and our flooring isn't showing up until 9/22.
Current schedule is to begin sheet rock/drywall next Monday 9/5 and to begin tiling the Monday after, 9/12. From 9/12 on, I think we will start to see big changes happening again as most of the products will be in and the installation of them will just need to be scheduled and completed. Garrett and I are still hoping to move back in on 9/30.
